Company : Technip Italy (TPIT) Job Title : Junior Machinery Engineer Location : Rome (Engineering Department Equipment - Machinery Section) Short Job Summary : She / He will work inside the Machinery Section that is in charge of the management of machinery proposals, procurement and detail engineering development.

First, the candidate will manage the requisition of simple equipment and thereafter he / she will be progressively involved in all other section activities. Reporting Line :

  • Hierarchically report to the Machinery Section Head
  • Key interactions are with :
  • Internally : Project teams, Procurement dept. Construction dept., Engineering dept., others engineering disciplines.
  • Externally : clients, vendors, suppliers,

    • The role and responsibilities may include but are not limited to :

  • Ensures timely and qualitative preparation of project technical specifications in coordination with other disciplines.
  • Preparation of material requisition for inquiry
  • Bid receipt and technical analysis of machinery proposed
  • Preparation of material requisition for purchase
  • Ensures proper communication with vendors and technical follow up of the orders.
  • Adheres to the committed man / hours and budget.
  • Ensures timely reporting on engineering / requisitioning activities to the Lead Discipline Engineer.
  • Meets quality and HSE objectives of the project.
  • Interfaces with other discipline specialist engineers and possibly project support functions such as procurement and planning.

    • Requirements : Must have :

  • Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Fluent in English
  • Computer literate
  • Capability to perform the work on time with the required Company quality level
  • Communication skills
  • Attitude to work in team and in an international environment
  • Availability to international mobility for either short or long term assignment

    • Nice to have : - Shop experience- Knowledge of Machinery
