PRIMARY FUNCTION :
The FEA-Virtual Analysis Specialist is responsible for performing simulations to validate components and / or systems using FEA tools.
The selected candidate will support design development starting from concept phase until design release, through FEA simulations, ensuring durability and structural functionality of components and / or systems and providing technical solution based on analysis results for developing an optimal design.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
Support during concept phase and final virtual validations of mechanical components and / or systems for S&M tractor programs
Perform structural (linear, non linear, dynamic) calculations using FEA tools or Hand calculation and interpret critically the analysis results
Perform advanced fatigue analysis (Time domain, frequency domain) using FEA tools for fatigue
Provide design proposals to Engineering team to improve or optimize the structural behavior of components / systems
Write reports for summarizing the analysis results
Support various structural tests including durability tests, bump tests
Perform correlation between analytical and experimental results
Support / develop new FEA analysis / methods to support Tractor development needs
Create / support Virtual Validation Plan for a specific project and work in collaboration with Technical team / Engineering and PV (PLPV) (with a robust 3 Legs Approach) to develop an Integrated Validation Plan (from concept to development, validation and the final verification of subsystems, systems and complete vehicles).
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS :
Bachelor or Master Degree, preferably in mechanical engineering, or equivalent by experience.
3-5 years of professional industry experience in automotive or aerospace industry
Knowledge of structural analysis and mechanical systems
A background with agricultural equipment is desirable
Knowledge of surface mesh preparation using Hypermesh would be an advantage
Knowledge of, Nastran, Abaqus, Virtual Lab, Ncode or other similar commercial FEA solvers.
