As Secondary Automation Manager, you lead the execution and roll-out of the automation Strategy in the Secondary Sites through influencing a matrix team of cross functional experts
You define the key differentiating factors, and specific automation and digital technologies for Secondary sites
You ensure alignment of the automation strategy and roadmap with Sites priorities and business needs
You lead a Community of practice of automation managers in the secondary sites and are the first point of contact for local engineering teams with global automation.
Your responsibilities :
You develop and support the specifics of GSK Vaccines Automation strategy for Secondary sites
You use a collaborative approach to lead the co-development with sites of the technology roadmap for secondary sites
You provide leadership to a core group of world class automation technical experts in the development of deep scientific & engineering understanding of core technologies used in the field of vaccines manufacturing
You create an effective and engaged Community of Practice with the sites Automation leaders of secondary network
You write GSK guidelines for designing, procuring, installing, commissioning, qualification and validation of automation technologies for secondary drug product production systems
You provide best practice reference documents through industry wide collaboration (with GSK PSC, other biomanufacturers) and through membership in professional associations and participation to relevant conferences
You ensure the technology currency and fit for purpose of the automation solutions. Ensure the recapitalization and obsolesce plans are planned in Facilities Master Plans of all secondary sites as per the life cycle roadmap
You write and maintain relevant training materials for the relevant automation packages (user, admin etc) and provide master classes.
You own the automation application license for centrally controlled automation applications for secondary production
You assist the design and development of automation packages for all CAPEX projects in Belgium and all strategic projects for international sites until end of BoD.
You hand over to local site during Detailed design.
You ensure the right technology and standards are applied in the Capex projects for secondary sites.
You act as a single point of contact for design aspect related to Capex project of secondary sites
Alliances and partnerships : you select the key automation partners for GSK in the field of technology and supervise their deployment and roll-out
Frame contracts : in close collaboration with procurement drive the right frame agreements with the key partners, so there is a transparent commercial and technical frame that simplifies the management of third parties
Foster replication and standardization : you engage the community of secondary automation and foster replication and copy-and-paste approach, using the frame agreement as lever
You track competency matrices and competency level at each site automation team, ensure correct curriculum per relevant automation role in secondary sites, track training completion and work with sites to increase automation capabilities through the 10 / 20 / 70 approach
Basic Qualifications :
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals :
University degree : Master’s in engineering, with specialization in Automation, Electronic or Digital technologies
10 years of experience in Automation / Digital related disciplines in the pharmaceutical industry with preference to biopharmaceuticals
2 years in a global role, leading a network through influence
Experience in leading an automation team in a production site
Experience in developing automation strategy for a site and / or a network of sites
Management of procurement agreements and MSA / SLA’s with large suppliers
Experience in developing an automation package for CAPEX Projects
