Big Data and DWH Officer

Banca Ifis has a post available in the ICT department for a member of the work team that deals with Big Data and DWH.

The successful applicant will be required to do the following :

  • Follow and assist in the drafting of the functional analyses relating to the evolutionary implementations required by the business;
  • Prepare the technical analysis of the DWH data model based on user-defined requirements;
  • Implement the data model and keep its objectives updated;
  • Oversee release of the software and perform and / or monitor internal tests and user-side tests, organising the steps of production;
  • Monitor and manage end user reports.

    • The requirements for applicants are as follows :

  • Academic training in Computer Science, Mathematics or Statistics;
  • Knowledge of the main banking processes, possibly with experience in the ALM sector;
  • Experience in Project Management and ability to manage all project phases;
  • Knowledge of ETL processes and of the principles related to DWH management;
  • Ability to work in a team and aptitude for problem-solving.

    • Considered an advantage :

  • Knowledge of Hadoop technology (preferably on the Claudera platform);
  • Knowledge of SAS software, Python and bash scripting;
  • Previous experience in similar roles at a financial business or consultancy firm.
