Sales & Account Manager
Location : Sesto San Giovanni or Roma
Main activities include :
Business development activities : identification of potential clients, promotion of products through meetings with all public transport stakeholders (public transport authorities, operators, engineering companies.
participation to sales events (conferences, trade shows ), support to the organization of demonstrations
Proactive update of market forecasts : evaluation of market size, segmentation, order forecasts (volume, schedule )
Cooperation with Alstom central strategy team by gathering market information and reporting on market development in order to update the sales strategy and keep an attractive portfolio.
Contractual negotiations : support bid team as the interface to the customer, submit tenders and negotiate contracts.
Development of an after sales network : propose a strategy for after sales, find the local relevant partner and build an after sales service accordingly
Follow up of contracts / projects in execution as main interface of their customer(s). Also, in charge of management of the legal and contractual aspects for their respective customer(s) or after sales activities proper execution.
Overall, they are in charge and accountable for marketing, sales, execution follow up and overall customer(s) satisfaction.
Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent.
Proven track record of sales successes
In-depth knowledge of urban transport, and more specifically bus business
Open, communicative and team-oriented : ability to interact with staff at all levels of the company and with external parties as well
Excellent presentation, communication and negotiation skills
Goal oriented, resilient : persistence to achieve results
Ability to meet deadlines, and work on multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to work independently
Business fluency in English and another European language (German, Dutch, Italian )
Willingness to travel
