The Amazon Logistics team is looking to hire an experienced, innovative, hands-on, and customer-centric Third Party Logistic Senior Vendor Manager to play a critical role in the development and leadership of the strategic direction of Amazon Logistics.

The Senior Vendor Manager is the leader for Delivery Service Providers (DSPs) within Amazon Logistics, responsible for all aspects of Last Mile operations, contracting with suppliers and agreeing service levels.

The overriding goal is to maximize customer satisfaction and through this long term shareholder value.

You will be a highly valued team member and supervise the infrastructure and performance for ultra-fast delivery operations in each region.

You should have a talent for negotiating terms with third-party contractors, great organizational skills, and an enthusiasm for building new start-up businesses within the company.

A genuine desire to exceed customers’ experiences while optimizing the overall cost-per-delivery model is also essential.

Strong bias for action, strategic planning, procurement, quantitative analysis, and the ability to organize and deliver new initiatives across cross-functional operations, business, and contracting partners are prerequisites.

The position is part of a high-visibility initiative in the company and will include direct reporting and communications with senior leaders in the company.

Responsibilities :

  • Management of customer, driver, media and other escalations
  • Collaboration with all relevant stakeholders (customer service, operations, public relations, public policy, legal, compliance and partners) to mitigate all kind of escalations (customer, driver, media)
  • Continuous improvement of all compliance mechanisms and internal processes
  • Provide support and identity process improvement opportunities for DSPs as they transition from training to fully operational
  • Ensure DSPs are accurately compensated for services rendered
  • Demonstrate an ability to coach partners through broad business understanding grounded in hands-on operations.
  • BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Fluency in Italian and English is required.
  • Excellent Excel knowledge
  • Confident and skilled in using other Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word).
  • Working experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain or distribution industry
  • Experience in project management
  • Master University degree (preferably logistics, engineering, economic sciences)
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Sound business judgement, proven ability to influence others, and strong analytical thinking skills
