Work Location : Italy, Perugia area.

Role Overview :

We are looking for a System Architect to support the client, a global leading car maker into Luxury Vehicles industry, in cutting-edge Automotive Infotainment production programs.

As part of this role, the System Architect is expected to define the technical objectives and guide the suppliers to improve the quality of the product.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage supplier team of Electronic System Architects (Systems, HW and SW) who will define, support development and maintain system architecture for cockpit electronic modules

Evaluation of system architecture concepts (function allocation in hardware, software) from team for accuracy.

Interdisciplinary problem solving and deep technical expertise to overcome product and cross functional dependencies or roadblocks.

Ensure Systems and Architecture teams are following specified processes and Definition of design guidelines.

Ensure selected architecture fulfills requirements in functionality, performance, quality and timing.

Ensure supplier completes system and system software partitioning, bandwidth calculations, memory maps, data flows for the overall system design.

Develop Continuous improvement initiatives with the team (Process, Tools and execution).

Refactoring & Optimization at System Level to improve IVI HMI Performance benchmarks

Facilitate smooth communication between testing teams at Italy and India.

Skills / Requirements

Experience in Software Development - System Architect role in Automotive Infotainment system programs for 5-10 years, with strong expertise on similar systems (i.

  • e. deep dive kernel, middleware, application components, SW development on ARM architectures etc);
  • Sound Knowledge in Infotainment system level requirements, features, performance KPIs, test environments and complete product development cycles;
  • Ability to convert system requirements to hardware and software requirement specifications;
  • Sound knowledge in embedded operating systems like Linux, at all levels, HMI to kernel level;
  • Knowledge of Android would be a plus;
  • Experience in multi-core Software Architecture Design;
  • Experience with Requirements Management using standard tools like DOORS / Polarion;
  • Exposure to work product review and implementing improvement initiatives within programs;
  • Must have done refactoring of IVI Software Stack for performance;
  • Exposure to Rightware Kanzi Development would be advantageous;
  • Expertise on Hardware Platforms : IMX6QP, Microcontroller / Firmware level;
  • Working with geographically distributed teams and contribute to the success of his / her team and other related teams;
  • Positive attitude towards work, fluent verbal and written communication skills in Italian and English are mandatory;
  • Should have excellent communication, facilitation , moderation and interpersonal skills to interface with Customer, Supplier and other internal stakeholders
