The Demand Manager, as member of the Supply Chain Packaging EMEA organization, is in charge of driving the demand processes within the SIOP, with primary scope of collecting and analysing short, medium and long-term forecasts, from EMEA and Extra EMEA and formally pass this information to supply chain / operation, being responsible for the accuracy, together with the Sales teams, and drive improvement plans.

Demand Manager shares responsibility, with the rest of supply chain organization, on inventory value optimization, SSPL and costs minimization and is responsible to identify and propose projects, through demand analysis, to improve service and efficiency, reduce complexity, inventory holding and costs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the key driver of the demand review process, strategic element of SIOP by interacting with business, marketing, product mgt, finance, operations;
  • collect guidance from Product reviews; prepare and manage MSO (Market Sign Off) by business areas and other regions / SBU sourced from EMEA, for continuous improvements;
  • provide demand input for PSO (Production Sign Off process) at plant level.

  • Collect 12 months rolling forecasts (from EMEA Sales team and Extra EMEA Supply Chain) challenge and ensure accuracy; manage demand for new launches, run out and obsoletion;
  • build scenario’s including opportunities and vulnerabilities in the pipeline, understanding and managing implications, at the scope of improve service and reduce supply chain costs impact.

  • Collect 24 to 36 months forecast for medium long term capacity analysis.
  • Be responsible to proactively interact with supply chain and logistic to optimize inventory, reduce freights and SSPL;
  • share inventory, SSPL and freight costs targets with the overall supply chain team.

  • Build and propose, through analysis of demand and supply route to customers, opportunity of improvement on supply flow changes, production relocation / localization, SKU rationalization and complexity reduction to deliver improved service and efficiency, reduction in cost, inventory and SSPL.
  • Lead key supply chain projects with cross-sites implication (changes in demand / supply for product range, production relocations, production localization)
  • Being the interface between Sales and Supply Chain, in providing sale teams all relevant SC important metrics and promoting actions implementation by Sales teams and Front Office on SSPL avoidance and better inventory holding.
  • Create a supply chain partnership approach culture, focusing on Sales teams training, mentoring and support; handle demand planning job duties with sales teams and the others roles acting in forecasting.
  • Knowledge :

  • Engineering / Logistics / Economical Degree preference Supply Chain qualification
  • At least 5 years of experience in supply chain / demand management activities within manufacturing areas
  • Proficient expertise of fundamental Supply Chain principles
  • Proficient knowledge of key Markets and Customer Service principles
  • Skills :

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication
  • Strategic approach, to understand impact of demand management on the enterprise
  • Proficient knowledge of standard methodologies, processes and IT systems within supply chain;
  • Proficient English - Other languages are consider additional asset
  • Financial & commercial awareness. Attention to details.
  • Attitude :

  • Proactive, hands-on and results-orientated. Strategic in foreseeing issues and challenges.
  • Flexibility to travel up to 40% of the time.
