Salesforce.com Italy Corporate Counsel, Commercial Legal - Public Sector As a reflection of our continued growth in Italy, Salesforce is hiring a high performing, result-oriented senior Counsel to join our EMEA Commercial Legal team, to specifically support the Italian Public Sector sales team and the expansion of our footprint within the public administration.

This position will be based either in the Milan or Rome office. Responsibilities : Advise on Italian Public Sector laws, regulations and procedures and help us properly strengthen and orient our public sector contractual, operational and business offering in Italy to meet our targets and embrace the contemplated business growth.

Review, negotiate and draft agreements, such as master subscription agreements, professional services agreements, public frameworks, alliances and resale agreements, data processing addenda, non-disclosure agreements and ordering documents in support of the Italian Public Sector sales team, professional services and alliances teams.

Work with the sales and professional services, revenue recognition, sales operations and pricing internal teams, as well as lead discussions and coordinate with external law and consulting firms to support contracting and order processing.

Closely partner with the other departments, including privacy, security and compliance to ensure agreements are consistent with internal corporate policies and processes.

Provide legal and commercial support in relation to existing contracts and provide support in the event of any disputes or potential disputes.

Provide support in answering public market surveys, RFIs / RFPs, including collecting relevant information internally. Assist the company in maintaining and securing compliance with Italian laws, regulations and applicable internal policies.

Assist in developing training materials and provide training to the business on relevant legal topics and best practices.

Actively contribute to the EMEA Commercial Legal team’s ongoing development of knowledge, skills and processes. Participate in cross-regional team projects.

Qualifications Master Degree from a highly regarded university; LLM or additional abroad studies are a plus. Qualified Italian Lawyer with commercial, administrative and public procurement specializations.

Minimum 5-year PQE in a reputable law firm or as in-house commercial counsel in a large organization supporting contracts’ negotiation and public procurements activities.

Required skills & experience : Experience in Italian public procurement is a must. Previous exposure to cloud computing would be an advantage.

Substantive expertise in data privacy and intellectual property laws. Outstanding legal drafting skills in both Italian and English, rigor and strong legal reasoning.

Excellent verbal communication and negotiation skills. Can-do attitude, pro-active, autonomous, resilient, adaptable, eager to continually learn and develop professionally.

Highly responsive and service-oriented attitude. Ability to handle pressure and provide thoughtful recommendations. Ability to organize, prioritize and manage deadlines, in a fast pace, rapidly evolving and demanding industry and work environment.

Team spirit and collaborative attitude. Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with demanding internal clients.

Mother tongue Italian; fluency in English. Highly Desirable Experience & Skills Demonstrated and substantive IT contract negotiation and drafting expertise.

Experience in supporting sales departments as an internal client. Knowledge of, and interest in, EU and global data privacy laws.

Knowledge and experience in US revenue recognition a plus.
