SIA is building a Competence Centre in Athens which by the end of 2021 will employ over than 80 Technology new employees and which aims to address the card business development activities for the SIA Group and to provide best in class" card processing services in Greece and other European countries via the usage of the HPS PowerCARD suite.

For our new dedicated PowerCARD Competence Centre in Athens we are currently looking for a Senior Database Administrator DevOps in order to strengthen our IT Infrastructures Department."

Activities

Executing all the Operations in order to ensure availability and high performance of all the products supported by the team

Providing second level support (including coordination of incidents / error tickets across all teams involved, root cause analysis, troubleshooting and development of preventive measures)

Performing deployments for various software product releases

Cooperating with other teams to configure and analyzing products functionality

Designing and executing Stress Tests within his / her competence

Knowledge transfer to 1st level support teams

Collaborating with products SMEs to perform troubleshooting by mapping user events to database modules

Performing functionality analysis and providing application consulting

Monitoring the supported products with corporate monitoring tools in order to prevent possible system failures

Creation and maintenance of documentation for internal use and external audits

Developing automations

Cooperating with international teams

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related subject

3 or more years of related technical experience as a Database Administrator, DevOps, or in a comparable function

Experience in Linux (Red Hat Enterprise), Oracle Server, SQL

Knowledge of Oracle SQL Developer, Oracle Golden Gate, PL SQL will be considered an asset

Strong understanding of databases

Very good written and oral communication skills both in Greek and English, knowledge of Italian is a plus

Other Skills :

Working effectively with others in a team environment while enhancing a positive atmosphere

Familiar with best practices and standard DBA tasks

Attention to detail

Ability to work under minimal supervision upon assigned tasks

Ability to learn quickly and understand internal business processes / functions
