The Field Service Engineer will perform activities required for the installation, commissioning, start-up and technical support of Emerson DeltaV Distrubuted Control Systems (DCS) at customer sites.

The Field Service engineer is responsible for executing work according to the Emerson standards of safety and quality.


  • Perform tasks for system maintenance and performance assessments.
  • Provide technical support to customers.
  • Be able to troubleshoot customers problems related to the process system.
  • Execute Control system maintenance tasks.
  • Perform system acceptance tests, installation, commissioning, training, fault analysis and rectification work at customer sites and installations.
  • Assist in design studies, H / W & S / W upgrades & modifications.
  • Configuring / application management and support.
  • Execute all work (repairs, installations, training etc.) in accordance with guidelines and certifications.
  • Be able and willing to perform emergency call-out services to provide customers with fast and efficient services.
  • Execute the requested job in the best way to meet customer’s deadlines and expectations.
  • Keep workshop / workplace(s) tidy, in order and representative.
  • Communicate issues concerning customer satisfaction or customer requests for Emerson support to the responsible person in Service Management or Sales Management.
  • Tutoring customer training.
  • Adhere to local and international Emerson Trade Compliance procedures in connection with all transactions and business practices.
  • Adhere to the company’s and customer HSEQ standards at all times.

  • Degree in an engineering discipline, such as mechanical / electrical, computer science, or control systems.(Minimum technical College level).
  • Relevant experience a from process industry such as Biotechnology / Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Oil & Gas, Refineries.
  • Good communications skills and fluent in English written and spoken.
  • Technical competencies.
  • Product Knowledge.
  • Experience in Automation and in DCS.
  • Availability to work non-office hours and perform call-out services, if applicable.
  • Availability to work offshore, if applicable.
