Designs tests and undertakes testing of systems to ensure that bugs do not impact user acceptance testing (UAT) or production environment.
Sets up a testing framework to automate UI integration tests and table / files rules checks both for new changes and for full regression, with the potential support of automation testing tools
Analyzes users stories / acceptance criteria / business requirements / non-functional needs and raise clarifications with business analysts and customers when needed
Conducts quality control tests (functional, regression, integration and performance) and supports analysis to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and end user requirements
Designs, develops automation scripts and runs test plans and scripts in line with the product sprint cycle and roadmap to support expected delivery deadlines
Maintains full, accurate, up-to-date documentation on testing and resulting client issues and remediation
Works with Developers and Business Analysts to ensure tests are in place prior to and in-line with development
Provide timely solutions
Apply quality engineering principals throughout the Agile product lifecycle- Provide support and product documentation- Availability to work on Saturdays and on call
This is an Individual Contributor role
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Electronics / Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
Demonstrates some understanding of standard software quality assurance processes and methodologies
Experience (2-4 years) in designing and writing test automation scripts (including use of Java script, HTML, Java and SQL, Selenium or other testing frameworks or tools)
Some experience in the software development life cycle, preferably in testing multi-tiered applications and Agile Methodology
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously- Good time-management skills - Operating Systems (Unix, Windows)- Good in spoken and written English
