THSN (The Human Safety Net) is Generali’s global initiative for the community, launched in 2017 and now active in more than 20 countries.
It is driven by The Human Safety Net Foundation (THSN) based out of Italy and working in cooperation with more than 50 social enterprises and NGOs across Europe, Asia and Latin America.
Its mission is that of unlocking the potential of disadvantaged people, so that they can transform their lives and that of their families and communities.
Its programme focus areas are early childhood development and refugee integration through work. The Foundation’s ambition is to deploy the company’s international network of 55.
000 employees, 150.000 agents and 55 million customers towards shared goals, creating a chain of people helping people, moving beyond traditional grant making models and promoting social inclusion across all levels of the organization by working closely with the business.
As of 2022 the future home of the Foundation will be in Venice, in the Procuratie Vecchie on Saint Mark’s Square : the third floor of this landmark building will become a public space for sharing the issues and activities of the Human Safety Net.

From the first quarter of 2022 it will be open to the public for the first time in its 500-year history. Partners, visitors and Venetians will learn about the social impact of The Human Safety Net programmes and how they can take action along an interactive journey centered on human potential in the Exhibition Space.
A state-of-the-art Auditorium will host high level international events for Generali, The Human Safety Net and its global partners, local community initiatives, as well as those of revenue generating third parties.
The co-working space will host the staff and partners of Generali / The Human Safety Net to collaborate on the design of global projects, run trainings, residencies & capacity building to sustain and grow the network across the private and public sectors focusing on social innovation around the topics of THSN and the wider Generali sustainability agenda.
The Human Café will serve the public attending the exhibition spaces, functions and events.
The Events & Exhibitions Manager role will be responsible for delivering the content strategy of the THSN Home in Venice via the interactive experience offered to the public by the Exhibition and the portfolio of events that will be developed in the Auditorium and accessory spaces.
