The candidate will be part of the Global Procurement Function, in Marketing & Communication Category. The Global Marketing Category team is responsible for the development and implementation of the sourcing strategy, monitoring and leading sourcing and coordinating purchasing activities at a global level, including the management of global suppliers.

As part of this team, your role is to support the implementation of the strategy for marketing services spend, aligned with the needs of the stakeholders and the business.

The marketing services categories include On / Offline Media, Creative services, Advertising production, PR, Digital marketing services for brands and e-Commerce, Market Research, Events and Incentive, Product Merchandising.

Your success will be primarily measured on Savings / Cost Management, Stakeholder management, Strategic Project Management / Execution, Payment Terms & Working Capital, Respect and implementation of Company policy, Value Creation and Innovation.

You will have the chance to focus on the following activities :

  • Analyze market trends and research and select new suppliers;
  • Manage tenders in different merchandise categories through the standard buying process, which requires sending offer requests, analysis and offers alignment with the internal stakeholder function, negotiation, and definition of the supply contract and activation of buying orders process.
  • Conclude the onboarding process and qualification of suppliers through company platform (Synertrade), keeping monitored the supplier status update.
  • Contribute to the decision-making process by logically presenting ideas to decision makers, being a strong logic thinker, using information to accurately make timely decisions.
  • Responsibilities

  • Contribute to strategy development, including strategy coordination for related categories
  • Work with the stakeholders to identify spend areas and organize buying processes with the goal of identifying cost savings
  • Issue RFx and analyze best solutions, negotiate price and commercial terms and conditions.
  • Quickly acquire knowledge in categories where there is limited internal knowledge
  • Support the internal reporting of results
  • Contract negotiation and implementation, accompanying roll-out of new suppliers
  • Supplier Management and continuous evaluation / assessment of supplier performance, ensuring consistency of service, quality and compliance
  • Lead projects and work cross functionally, with regional / global procurement teams
  • Support internal purchasing process
  • Ability to interface with all levels of management in all regions, and all accountable functions (e.g. Legal, Tax, Administration )
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, in Economics / Engineering preferred
  • 3+ years experience in marketing procurement and prior experience in marketing related functions would be a plus
  • Experience in an international organization, preferably in FMCG
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, flexible with ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Strong autonomy
  • Experience in project management, tender organization and cost saving projects
  • Knowledge of : General Procurement principals and procedures, Procurement and Sourcing processes, Marketing, advertising and digital marketing, Organizations, Accounting & Finance
  • Skills In : Negotiation, Effective communication written and oral
  • Strong internal and external stakeholder management
  • Analytics (tender management, cost analysis, scenario modelling)
  • Proficient with SAP and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Fluent in Italian and English
  • Willingness to travel internationally, if requested
