The General Finance Specialist focuses upon the provision of finance advice, administration and activities for the designated business function, to support business objectives.
The General Finance Specialist has a good understanding of established concepts and procedures in general finance through extensive practical experience and focusses on delivering activities across the functions in finance to provide insight to support decision making and planning.
Typically reports to the General Finance Manager.
Supports the delivery of activities relating to building forecasts, financial plans and reflecting efficient use of financial resources in order to achieve financial targets aligned to business objectives;
Provides finance advice and guidance and accurately executes administrative activities;
Informs and educates business units on financial governance principles, and ensures compliance to Vodafone financial policies and frameworks;
Works effectively with colleagues providing first class financial expertise to business units to assist with financial decisions and operations driving return on investment;
Uses communication skills to exchange ideas and information in a concise and logical way to support the delivery of business insights and demonstrates excellent finance acumen to support internal customers with financial evaluations;
Effectively interacts with colleagues providing financial expertise to business units to assist with financial decisions and operations, maximising value;
Uses judgement based on analysis of financial information and resolves problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience;
Supports maintaining solid relations with internal partners;
Performs other job-related duties or tasks defined by the supervisor or resulting from assigned agendas.
