Scope and Purpose
The Lead Data Scientist has the following responsibilities :
Analyses business needs to design solutions and define requirements coherently
Participates, creates, and delivers communication on solutions to diverse audiences (for example, management, customers, suppliers, technical staff)
Coordinates the project team toward sprints and milestones
Is responsible for delivering on time and on budget
Ensures Models are compliant with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity
Conducts business and technical impact analysis of proposed solutions
Acts proactively in suggesting Data Science approach and algorithms to the team
Contributes to the team building and individual skills within the team
6+ years of experience in Data Science roles
Experience in the Financial sector
Ability to develop experimental and analytic plans for data modeling processes.
Understanding of relevant statistical measures and their impact on the business
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong experience in managing and motivating teams
Coordinates the project team toward project milestones
Fluency in Italian and English (both verbal and in writing)
Required Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge
MSc or PhD in Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, Econometrics or related quantitative field
Experience with supervised and unsupervised algorithms
Experience in R, Python, Matlab or Scala. Experience with SQL
Experience with statistical modelling / machine learning techniques
Experience with big data tools (Spark, Hive, Pig, Sqoop, NoSQL)
Experience with Natural Language Processing or image recognition
Demonstrable track record dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering results in an agile, dynamic environment
Experience in agile software development methodologies
