W Rome is casting for a Welcome Ambassador to join the first W Hotel in Italy.

Reporting to the Lead Concierge, the Moonlight Welcome Ambassador is the first face that our guests see at the W Rome. She / He is responsible for ensuring an authentic W experience to each and every guest during the night shift.

Whether processing operational needs, addressing guest requests, completing reports, or sharing the highlights of the local area, the Welcome ambassador makes transactions feel like part of the W experience.

  • What you’ll do

  • Both bellman and doorman duties
  • Monitor the front driveway to ensure a smooth flow of traffic (vehicle and pedestrian). Responsible for providing an inviting and fun welcome and farewell to all guests entering / leaving the hotel.
  • Assist both arriving and departing guests with storage luggage handling to and from their rooms.
  • Assist guests / visitors in and out of vehicles, including assisting guests with loading / unloading luggage.
  • Open doors and assist guests / visitors entering and leaving property. Greet and escort guests to rooms.
  • Transport guest luggage to and from guest rooms and / or designated bell area.
  • Supply guests with directions and information property amenities, services, and hours of operation, and local areas of interest and activities.
  • Assist with luggage storage and retrieval.
  • Arrange transportation (e.g., taxi cab, shuttle bus, limousine / sedan service) for guests / visitors, and record advance transportation request as needed.
  • Communicate parking procedures to guests / visitors.
  • Seek out and take advantage of opportunities to WOW guests.
  • Recognize visiting regular guests and WIPs.
  • Help with request and organize taxis or Hotel Transportation for guests.
  • Escort guests to various places around the hotel. Introduce self in the meantime and offer W’s Whatever / Whenever service.
  • Assist guest belonging luggage to ensure Welcome Desk would able to operate check in / out smoothly during pick hour
  • What we’re looking for

  • Proficient in English and at least intermediate Italian (both writing and speaking)
  • Previous experience as Bell or Door person in a Luxury Hotel is preferred
  • Must be able to pick up quickly CRM systems and software
  • A warm, people-oriented demeanor and a team-first attitude
  • Positive outlook and outgoing personality
  • Flexibility, problem-solving skills and multi-tasking ability
