PRIMARY FUNCTION :
Develop and coordinate all PD-DA&S activities in transversal way across all regions and for all the segments (AG, CE and CV), related to transmission simulation and tools.
The main analyses are related to : Structural analysis of Housing transmission components; Definition of the Target and Mission for the assigned project;
Housing stiffness optimization; Transmission noise; Multi-body analysis of transmission and Tooth contact analysis on complex system.
These analysis must be correlated with physical tests. Their final scope is to save time and costs on physical prototypes.
The Senior Transmission analyst is responsible for performing simulations to validate durability of transmission components and systems, developing state of the art analytical procedures and enhancing existing methodologies to improve simulation accuracy.
The selected candidate will also support design development starting from concept phase until design release, ensuring durability and performance functionality of transmission components and systems and providing technical solution based on analysis results for developing an optimal design.
Coordinate the development of new methods and new researches for analyzing and simulating new transmission concepts.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
As a member of the Design Analysis & Simulation team, the main responsibilities will be the following :
Support during concept phase and final virtual validations of mechanical components and / or systems for CNH Industrial products
Perform transmission calculations using tools such as KissSoft, KissSys and Calyx.
Provide design proposals to Engineering team to improve or optimize performance and durability of components / systems
Conduct design analysis on transmission components and assemblies to assist in the development process by ensuring designs are cost efficient and reliable.
This could include defining, schedule to meet project objectives, as well as participation in design reviews, and DFMEAs
Develop state of the art analytical procedures and enhancing existing transmission methodologies to improve simulation accuracy
Write reports for summarizing the analysis results
Support various physical transmission tests including Jenkins
Perform correlation between analytical and experimental results
QUALIFICATION / REQUIREMENTS :
Bachelor or Master Degree, preferably in mechanical engineering, or equivalent by experience.
3-5 years of professional industry experience in automotive or aerospace industry
Knowledge in transmission analysis and mechanical systems
Experience in analysis of mechanical systems including parallel axes gear and bevel gear development and analysis
Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work both independently and as part of a global team
Knowledge of English (both verbal as written).
