Job Description :

The Business Control Office Member will be part of the BCO Team and will work to optimize processes and procedures embedding risk and controls and ensuring compliance with applicable local Laws / international Regulations and minimum standard of ING Group.

Responsibilities :

The Product & Procedures Expert performs the following activities :

Ensure adequate understanding of risk ownership and risk management across the organization

Facilitate and / or coordinate the timely assessment and documentation of inherent and residual risks in products, processes and applications including Business Environment Assessment (BEA) and Product Approval Review Process (PARP)

Support process control design, considering effectiveness, efficiency and customer experience

Facilitate gap analysis and monitor the remediation of gaps related to (new) global policies, control standards and regulatory requirements

Perform and / or coordinate Key Control Testing

Facilitate and document control evaluation by control owner

Coordinate the timely definition, capturing, monitoring and reporting on issues

Facilitate risk and control dashboard per value chain, process, policy and risk category

Provide the MT with an holistic view and advise on the effectiveness and efficiency of the control environment across value chains, processes, policies and risk categories

  • Ensures that a robust governance over the management of the product approvals / reviews and of the internal policies and procedures is available, formalized, maintained and properly communicated;
  • Cooperates with the other areas of the Department, in order to facilitate the harmonized development of an overall framework covering processes, risk and control logs and internal documentation (policies and procedures).

    Requirements :

    The Business Control Office Member should fulfill the following requirements :

    Possess a high proficiency in verbal and written English.

  • Be well organized, pro-active, self-motivated, and eager to learn;
  • Knowledge of risk and control environments, including identification, definition, assessment and mitigation of operational control gaps and / or weaknesses is necessary;
  • Possess sharp analytical and statistical skills.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision whilst also being able to collaborate with multiple team members;
  • Possess excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills;
  • Be a team player and capable of meeting strict deadlines;
  • problem solving skills and strong orientation to the objective

    Good flexibility, integration and facilitation skills

    Strong networking, establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with others, both internally and externally, to achieve the goals of the organization
