Supply Chain and Technology Analyst - Cross component / technology research
The IHS Markit Automotive - Supply Chain and Technology team is in search of an Analyst , focusing on research and forecasting of a variety of aspects related to technology and supply chain ("who supplies whom").
This position will be based out of any of the IHS Markit European offices (London, Paris, Frankfurt, Munich, Milan).
Conduct research (both primary and secondary) to build solid understanding of a variety of components and technologies with a view to collect intelligence from industry participants and build an independent view of a specific sector
Develop a database in which technologies, their cost and supply chain relationships ( who supplies whom ) are tracked and forecast up to six years from current year.
Present research findings at conferences / tradeshows / client events / webinars
Project work involvement, including cross-regional and cross-team projects as needed, to build new as well as expand current forecasting data sets.
Support business development activities for our forecasting product as well as the wider offerings of the team (as required from time to time)
Nurturing a network of contacts at automotive companies and suppliers as well as other industry players.
Proven understanding and expertise of current and future automotive industry trends as well as key components and technologies
Accurate Analytical and Data interpretation skills. Previous experience in forecasting or market research of technologies is highly desirable
A professionally extrovert person who is comfortable in client interactions.
Proficiency with MS applications required (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
Bachelor / Master's Degree in Automotive Engineering or Business
An interest / passion for cars is desirable
Strong motivation and ability to self-organize to achieve difficult targets under tight time constraints
Fluency in English required, additional language skills will be a bonus.
