The position holder develops and executes the QVC Italia Advertising Standard Compliance and Consumer protection strategy, supports the business to achieve its commercial goals minimizing the risk of non-compliance.
Provides professional and accurate advice to the business staff to ensure that Company’s communication and marketing initiatives are compliant with applicable law and QVC Italy Policies.
The person in this role :
Oversees QVC’s advertising to ensure adherence to the Legal Affairs determination of approved and rejected claims.
Partners with other QVC departments to establish processes and procedures for the efficient review of advertising information.
Proactively monitors regulatory changes in the field of advertising compliance and consumer protection and advises of any changes to QVC Italy’s business practices to ensure compliance with new or amended regulations.
Monitors external trends and anticipates any possible impacts on the QVC business to the management.
Develops and oversees an educational programme for staff, Vendors representatives and guest presenters in regards to the Advertising Standards, the Claims Policy, and on-air presentations.
Monitors the effectiveness of the QVC’s advertising compliance and education programmers, proposes and implement measures to improve compliance.
Advises on marketing and communication initiatives (including Social media Marketing, prize competition, etc)
Key requirements and skills :
Law Degree
5+ years of experience in advertising standards and consumer protection law, preferably as in-house in B2C companies.
Knowledge of the Italian and EU regulation on advertising is necessary
Knowledge of the Italian and EU regulation on Consumer Protection is necessary
Fluency in professional English
Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
Ability to make decisions to achieve desired results while understanding when an issue should be elevated to Legal Affairs
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to professionally interact with company personnel at all levels
