We are now looking for the COMPLIANCE LEAD ITALY

Who will be responsible to design, implement and oversee the overall BMS Italy compliance program and the local Organization Model law 231 / 01, and maintain alignment with the global Compliance & Ethics programs.

Responsibilities :

  • Facilitate and co-chair the Italian Compliance Committee
  • Formulate, refresh and enhance local compliance policies and simplify processes where appropriate
  • Lead and / or participate in compliance focused projects , and ensure such programs are aligned with global Compliance & Ethics programs
  • Work closely with medical, commercial, strategy and operations to develop and deliver appropriate compliance training (periodic and ad hoc) and communications
  • Provide day-to-day operational compliance advice to BU stakeholders and functional leaders
  • Drive and enhance, in collaboration with BU leaders, the compliance culture within BMS Italy
  • Assist with investigations, audits and inspections, and driving corrective actions and follow up as warranted
  • Continuously report up to regional leadership significant matters regarding the market compliance program
  • Lead C&E’s participation in periodic internal audits and execution of audit follow-up actions assigned to C&E
  • Collaborate in the management and implementation of the Organization Model of BMS Italy in line with the Law 231 / 01
  • Collaborate in the risk mapping, risk evaluation, process implementation and constant update of the procedures in line with the requirements of the Law 231 / 01
  • Collaborate / Participate in the Vigilance Committee of BMS Italy
  • Competencies & Skills :

  • Degree preferably in a related field (e.g. Compliance, Law)
  • Knowledge of anti-corruption laws relevant to Italy, in particularly Law 231 / 01 and experience in working with Vigilance Committee
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a compliance role
  • Experience with monitoring compliance initiatives and reporting findings
  • Experience with running an internal Compliance Committee
  • Experience with drafting SOPs and providing compliance training
  • Experience with preparing the business for audits, and inspections and investigating compliance deviations
  • Knowledge of Italian pharmaceutical self-regulatory code
  • Knowledge of US compliance expectations for the pharmaceutical industry, including the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act
  • Fluent in English and Italian both written & spoken
  • Successful experience in cross-functional interactions
  • Superior personal integrity and ethics;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing
  • Experience working within the Pharmaceutical industry
  • Good presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
