Core Responsibilities :

  • Leads and manages all finance and accounting functions for the Gimatic business unit. Key functions include general and cost accounting, tax and financial planning & forecasting, financial controls, pricing, inventory audit / management and the capital acquisition process.
  • Ensures compliance with US and Italian GAAP Statutory requirements and is familiar with international GAAP rules which may cause differences in financial standards.
  • Act as a strategic business partner to Gimatic site leadership; seeks out and seizes opportunities for profit improvement through analysis, process and policy initiatives.
  • Works closely with the Automation Strategic Business Unit to drive business goals and objectives.
  • Owns the development of the annual profit plan and monthly forecast for sales, profit and working capital with strong capability to understand and explain variances.
  • Responsible for overseeing financial reporting & statutory requirements of multiple global
  • Responsible for the design, development and administration of internal controls and control systems as they relate to Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Inventory, Fixed Assets and Payroll.
  • Safeguards and controls company assets including cash, inventory, receivables, payables, and fixed assets.
  • Ensures compliance with BGI Accounting policies and that all statutory and tax reporting and filings are completed timely and accurately.
  • Involvement with due diligence reviews for prospective acquisitions and key partner involved in integrating new businesses as they occur.
  • Leads, develops and motivates a team of finance and accounting professionals by empowering them, communicating openly and honestly and providing regular and fair performance feedback.
  • Qualifications :

  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of eight to ten years of experience in finance / accounting with at least three years of accounting and managerial experience in a mid to large size, publicly held, manufacturing company (or division thereof).
  • Experience at a Big 4’ or Tier 2 accounting firm preferred.

  • Global finance leadership experience preferred.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Italian GAAP, US GAAP and working in a SOX environment is required.
  • Must be fluent in English, including ability to read and write in the language.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to make recommendations based on financial data analysis.
  • Demonstrated history of creating and driving process excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Persuasive leadership skills and superb technical accounting skills to coach, guide and motivate the accounting team as a valued resource to the organization.
  • Impeccable integrity and superior interpersonal skills; able to communicate and engage personnel at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams on projects.
  • Distribution and manufacturing knowledge a plus.
  • Education :

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Finance / Accounting. CPA, MBA or advanced degree preferred.
