    You are responsible for

    As Legal Counsel in Italy, Greece and Israel you will provide legal support to our Health Systems commercial organization and to the enabling functions of the company, focusing on Italy first. As such, you will :

  • Provide legal advice related to the sales, distribution and servicing of our products;
  • Draft, review and negotiate contracts with customers, suppliers and channel partners (including agency agreements, distribution agreements, licence agreements, partnership agreements) as well as other legal documents;
  • Provide legal advice on various aspects of the company activities, including HR, procurement and real estate matters;
  • Provide legal support to the Tender Office (e.g. advice on public procurement law, review of tender documentation, preparation of non-judicial appeals);
  • Manage litigation activities and coordinate the work of outside counsels;
  • Work independently, with the goal to support and enable growth of our business and manage risk and costs;
  • Advise the business to ensure that legally sound decisions or plans are being made;
  • Play an active role in promoting compliance with Philips General Business Principles and corresponding policies and laws and regulations (including Anti Bribery, Antitrust, Privacy, Healthcare Compliance) as they relate to the client base, including training of employees in this field;
  • You are a part of

    The position of Legal Counsel Italy is located in Milan, Italy. You will be part of the Italy, Israel & Greece (IIG) Legal Department, and as such also be part of the Philips Global Legal Function.

    You will be working closely together with fellow in-house lawyers, both local and international, as well as with colleagues from the IIG commercial organization.

    To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following

  • A qualified lawyer (with admission to Italian Bar) with at least 6-8 years experience as in-house legal counsel or in private practice the majority of which spent in the medical device / pharmaceutical / healthcare sector;
  • Proven experience in drafting and negotiating contracts in a commercial setting, including large scale projects;
  • Strong legal knowledge of Italian public procurement law and in the field of sales & distribution, services, marketing, e-commerce, compliance (antitrust, anti-bribery, privacy, healthcare compliance);
  • A flexible, proactive and creative lawyer, with an hands-on approach, able to work in a rapidly changing business environment, with a strongly developed business sense, who is able to connect with people and who can take decisions under time pressure;
  • Fluency in Italian (native level) and English.
