About the Role
Provide BLS (Basic Life Support) emergency and non-emergent medical care to park guests and MCs.
Respond to, access and treat patients according to LLCR Standard Operating Procedures and LLCR Emergency Treatment Protocols.
Must be able to safely lift patients of various size and weight by extremities, stretcher, backboards and properly secure patients for transport.
Operation of medical emergency vehicle to and from emergency and non-emergency scene’s in a manner appropriate to patient condition.
Never in an unsafe manner and to keep in mind the safety of self and others.
Coordinates patient care, between local transport agencies and LLCR emergency staff.
Assist Health Services Management with medical evaluations of work-related injuries.
Assist the Health Services Management with conducting follow up exams for work related injuries.
Make recommendations for light duty work for injured employees and finding them
reasonable accommodations within the park
Provide proper aftercare treatment instructions to injured employees within an EMT scope of practice.
Completes detailed, accurate and legible documentation / reports prior to EOS.
Maintains appropriate certifications.
Performs all duties in a safe courteous, confidential and professional manner,
alwaystaking into account the well-being of the patient
Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Park EMT’s follow SOP’s and treatment protocols.
Properly clean and stock all treatment areas and medical bags / equipment throughout the day and prior to EOS.
Other health services and security duties as assigned.
Background and Experience :
Requires a minimum of (1) years of BLS experiencein the field or clinical environment.
Clinical experience is highly desirable.
Computer proficiency with ability touse Microsoft Office Products is required.
Requires excellent verbal and writtencommunication and reasoning skills.
Theme park medical experience is highlydesirable.
Education :
HighSchool or General Education Diploma (GED) is required.
Mustbe a graduate of a State accredited or recognized EMT / Paramedic program andpossess a current California and San Diego County certifications, in goodstanding.
BasicLife Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) required.
Other Requirements :
Must be willing to work flexible hours,including evenings, holidays and weekends to support park operations
Must have at least 2 days ofavailability per week during the peak season.
Must work be available to work atminimum 2 major holidays a year.
Must have at least 1 day ofavailability per week during the off-season.
Must have valid driver’s license, safedriving record, and be willing to utilize own vehicle for business purposes.
Able to stand for long periods of timeand walk distances over various terrain.
