The Marketing Manager is responsible for guiding and overseeing the implementation and adaptation of global and regional marketing strategies across the portfolio.
This includes the tactical execution in alignment with local business opportunities and priorities to support order and margin plan and market share increase.
The role will work closely with the VP, South Europe and will support the sales process with appropriate marketing strategies and activities to meet customer’s requirements.
A close collaboration with other marketing functions (regional product marketing, Marcom and other marketing managers) is expected to ensure best practice sharing and consistency in the Elekta activities across Region Europe (REU) and Region Turkey, India, Middle-
East and Africa (TIMEA).
This role is based in the Milan office and therefore the successful applicant must be able to communicate effectively in Italian and English;
written and spoken; and the ability to communicate in Spanish is preferred.
REPORTS TO (position)
Vice President Regional Marketing EMEAI and dotted line to VP South Europe
Produce effective and robust Local Marketing plan
Identify and prioritize addressable markets through proper market / customer segmentation and drive activities to increase leads demand generation.
Responsible for product launch and portfolio positioning
Support Reimbursement & Healthcare policy planning project as appropriate
Maintain pricing and positioning and keep it consistent with the group guidelines and margin objectives
Attend medical / scientific meetings, presentations, and seminars while gathering competitive information
Key stakeholder in the regional Marketing Intelligence process, gathering intelligence and sharing locally or upwards to Regional and Global Marketing.
It includes, but is not limited to, competitive intelligence / market intelligence and customers insights / needs.
Support of the local sales team and Distributors with a technical / clinical expertise
Develop local rebuttals, messaging and strategies to counter competition in markets
Reference sites management (according to regional / global guidelines; from creation to follow up)
Support the local budget / long term planning
Organise & deliver as needed training to local new hires, sales teams and distributors on product and solutions
Responsible for communicating territory’s needs to regional / global marketing in terms of sales & marketing tools
Best practice sharing across the EMEAI team
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested

RELEVANT KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s preferred) or equivalent graduate level degree in a related discipline such as physics, engineering or marketing is strongly preferred.
Substantial marketing experience or commercial experience of more than 5 years in medical or capital equipment; experience in Radiation Oncology preferred
Intimate understanding of direct and distributor marketing channels and how to operate effectively and successfully within them
Strong experience in downstream marketing, full product life cycle from conception to launch
Strong communication skills with the ability to listen, understand and respond effectively
Fluent in English and Italian, and preferably Spanish
Ability to think creatively and innovatively
Budget-management skills and proficiency
Professional judgment and discretion that comes from years of experience in the field
Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges
Highly astute and good cultural awareness
