Senior Director, Epidemiology (remote role within EMEA)

As part of Scientific Services, in the Global Database Studies (GloDaSt) team we offer exposure to observational research projects with global reach.
In your role, you will gain experience working on challenging studies in various therapeutic areas using large-scale patient-level databases and innovative study designs to answer diverse research questions.
Overview
Direct and manage an assigned team of epidemiologists who manage other team members and provide epidemiology leadership to sponsored research programs to ensure quality, time and budget deliverables are met.
Work closely with global clients and other functional groups by providing senior scientific leadership for observational research on the natural history of disease and comparative safety, effectiveness and cost of medical treatments, designing methodologically sound studies to meet project objectives, regulatory and payer requirements, and conducting and supervising analyses, evaluation and reporting.
Contribute to department leadership within region (US, EMEA, or APAC) and globally as determined by business needs.
Provide leadership in support of new business development for both in-region and global clients and projects as determined by business needs.
Responsibilities
Manages staff in accordance with organization’s policies and applicable regulations
Provides and facilitates senior review for deliverables and strategic guidance to project teams and clients throughout project lifespan reflecting experience in methodology, regulatory requirements, market trends and resource-efficient approaches that meet client quality, budget and timeline needs and create impact
Provides leadership for business development strategy, triage, and direction of resourcing for proposals, point of escalation and resolution for identified problems as well as proposal and budget development
Provides expert consultation to internal project teams, other departments, and divisions of IQVIA and clients in areas including observational study methods, statistical methods, safety and pharmacovigilance, the selection of instruments and clinical measures to achieve objectives, and sources and measures for resource utilization and costing
Responsible for driving areas of epidemiology and outcomes research specialization per business needs
Requirements
Degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Outcomes Research, Health Economics or a relevant scientific field and 10 years’ relevant experience
Ability to provide scientific oversight with wide portfolio of observational studies of comparative effectiveness, safety, and cost
Proven leadership skills with experience of managing other managers of directors ability to present to leadership teams.
