Territory Account Manager, Mobility, PNW
The Datalogic Territory Account Manager (TAM) is responsible for growing revenue in their territory to meet annual sales targets.
The TAM hunts for new business / net new logos, and expands current customers. The TAM understands key / target accounts needs in order to offer solutions for their applications, ensures the correct products and services are being delivered and resolves any issues and complaints to maintain a level of integrity with our customer base.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
New business development in the territory assigned.
Management of existing accounts.
Interacts with end user customers, distribution partners, systems integrators and OEM accounts to penetrate assigned accounts, prospect new accounts, build customer relationships, understands customer needs by effectively positioning Datalogic's entire mobile computing product portfolio.
Develops and supports a distribution partner network to increase sales throughout the territory.
Owns the account strategy within the assigned accounts and communicates to the Business Units on an account by account basis when appropriate.
Establishes executive level relationships with the customer base and understands customer processes and business model.
Demonstrates excellent presentation skills. This person can stand in front of multi-level executives and make compelling, structured, organized presentations.
Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Can advocate on behalf of a customer that wants to run the software portion of their solution on premise rather than in the cloud
Knows what an EMM is and why a customer wants to run one with our devices
Knows why a device meeting a MIL-SPEC drop test may not be sufficient for an enterprise customer
Understands how software, hardware and services together create a stronger solution for a customer than any of those individually
Accountabilities and Performance Measures
Overall revenue within a given territory
Update of CRM (MS Dynamics), forecast tool
Understand of the DL Mobility portfolio and Retail / Logistics industry
Maintain a key relationship with our Distribution partners and sales team
Align with Datalogic culture with a sense of ownership
Industry Specific Requirements
The ideal candidate will have experience selling mobile computing products to different industries including retail and transportation logistics.
Have the proven ability to share a compelling customer business case around a deployment of mobile devices and an understanding of how customer will measure the success of a mobility deployment
Experience selling into Tier 1, Tier, 2, and / or Tier 3 accounts direct to end users and through channel partners.
Have a good understanding of Retail Operations both in store and / or in the Logistics arena.
Have a good understanding / experience with scanning technology
Bachelor’s Degree preferably in technical discipline or business / marketing
5+ years of outside sales experience in a similar industry
This position requires travel to their region for 60% + of the time
