Title : Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager is responsible for sales performance at the assigned accounts and resulting geography for integrated stepper motor solutions by :
1. Developing and executing a growth plan,
2. Leading and supporting their distributors / ASPs (Automation Solution Providers),
3. Identifying, qualifying and developing new OEMs, and nurturing internal relationships.
Products include integrated and non-integrated stepper motor solutions from Schneider Electric Motion USA / SEM ().
Develop and execute on an annual sales plan based on company objectives.
Lead channel growth by initiating and monitoring MAPs (Mutual Action Plans) with distributor partners and Schneider Electric country management.
Prospect, qualify and develop new customers who are a good fit for SEM solutions.
Attain support for new opportunities, product promotions and initiatives.
Actively manage OEM relationships with distributors / Schneider Electric Sales.
Assess key markets and applications at the primary accounts and in the geography.
Manage the input of necessary information into Salesforce CRM.
Provide feedback to SEM on competitive information, new successes and market trends.
Participate in trade shows or associations as needed to help build the SEM brand.
Develop ongoing awareness of competition and technology trends and their impact on SEM’s business.
Network and collaborate within the motion control industry.
Provide lessons learned / best practice reviews on won and lost opportunities.
Bachelor’s degree (or European equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Minimum of 5-10 years of Motion Control sales experience.
Motion Control application experience is a plus.
Industrial segment knowledge in Packaging, Material handling, Material working and other positioning oriented segments.
Life Science / Medical Equipment experience is a plus.
Demonstrated success in developing distributors.
Success in identifying and developing OEMs.
Strong capabilities in managing complex market and commercial situations.
Cross cultural business experience.
Communicating and Negotiating with senior management at customers.
Language (spoken and written)
CRM tools, such as Salesforce.
