Role Summary / Purpose :

Reporting to the Head of Sales and Marketing, the Product Marketing Manager will leverage domain expertise as the product champion for the Merchandise Lifecycle Management suite comprising PLM and Planning solutions.

The right candidate will work in collaboration with Sales and Marketing and will be responsible for creating effective go-to-market product marketing plans and for the orchestration of solution launches.

The Product Marketing Manager position requires close interaction - internally with sales, product, marketing communications, business development and client services teams and externally, with prospects, customers, analysts, and other industry influencers.

Essential Responsibilities :

  • Collaborates with the Product Manager to produce roadmap documentation and presentations for products within the solution portfolio for external audiences
  • Works with Marketing to ensure that solution & product value propositions and key messages for each relevant audience type are defined, documented and communicated
  • Works with Marketing to continually improve effectiveness of solution presentations, marketing collateral, sales tools and other marketing materials
  • Ensures Solution Consultants, Account Executives and Channel Partners are properly briefed on product / solution strategy
  • Provides solution and product expertise and support for internal and external marketing events where applicable (e.g. sales kickoff, major trade show events)
  • Establishes product pricing strategies including product price lists and discount schedules
  • Creates client conference sessions; identifies and recruits client and industry speakers
  • Monitors market trends and best practices in Omni-channel, Store Systems, Payments
  • Performs detailed competitor analysis of eCommerce Platforms, Order Management Systems, and Store Systems
  • Performs win / loss analysis at the product level to drive product and process improvements
  • Participates in conferences, sales events, trade shows and analyst briefings as required
  • Builds relationships with key customers and identifies problems that can be solved by relevant technology solutions
  • Presents product benefits to external audiences including customers, prospects, analysts and partners
  • Leads solution Client Advisory Board meetings
  • Organizes regular (e.g. quarterly) webinars aimed at fostering networking and learning opportunities for customer base
  • Works with Sales on key campaigns offering presentation support on future product direction and industry best practices and drives to meet or exceed product sales and profitability targets
  • Qualifications / Requirements :

  • 5-7 years of experience in a Product Marketing Manager role in the software industry
  • Suitable degree in Business or Marketing
  • Excellent communication skills, critical / analytic thinking, relationship building (internal and external stakeholders), and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational, strategic planning skills and presentation skills
  • Vision, drive, and passion for making incredible products
  • Excellent knowledge of processes and trends related to Retail planning or PLM
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and influence team members at all levels and across business functions
  • High tolerance for fast-paced working environments and ability to deliver on tight timelines
  • Strong results-oriented working attitude
