Summary of position :
To provide technical service and support in the field on AdvanceStaining equipment within Leica Biosystems (LBS), ISO, FDA, and budgetaryguidelines with the objectives of minimizing customer downtime and generatingrevenue opportunities for LBS.
Key responsibilities :
Provide installation support, maintenance,modification and / or repair on various Advanced Staining instruments.
Effectively communicate with internal colleaguesand external customers within established time guidelines in order to meetcustomer’s expectations
Document and complete service administrationactivities in a timely manner in order to comply with ISO, FDA, and Companypolicies.
Ensure the on-time and appropriate applicationof all published Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) that are issued by theBusiness Unit recommending or mandating updates or changes to the Instrumentsin the field.
Actively support the sale of service contracts,assist sales representatives and service engineers with system configurationsand upgrades, and provide input on ways to improve financial performance inorder to generate service revenue.
Broaden knowledge and experience to improveproduct, application and professional development skills and ultimately,represent the company in a professional manner.
Maintain spare parts stock within budgetarylimits in order to maximize Fast Time Fix repair metrics.
Control expenses in order to maximize the profitcontribution to the company.
Represent the company in a professional mannerin order to install confidence within current and prospective customers of Companyproducts.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor’s degree or comparable professional expertise in electronics or mechanics
3 years’ experience in field service in a relevant or similar industry
2 years of Biomedical experience
Works with integrity and understands compliance requirements
Willingness to travel extensively within assigned region
Ability to organise self to travel regularly whilst meeting customer requirements
Good IT skills, Advanced Staining equipment runs with computers and is connected to networks
Language requirement English a must have
Goal oriented, results driven
Customer orientated with ability to deliver high quality customer satisfaction
Works independently but able to also a good team play
Good time management, good organizational skills
Good interpersonal and communication skills
