Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join us as a Technical Operations Program Manager of Reliability and Maintenance Excellence.

In this role, you will work to oversee and expand the Kite maintenance excellence program, ensure standardization and effectiveness across the network and monitor cost to budget.

RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to) :

Become a pivotal participant of the global maintenance network to establish the excellence strategy driving towards a best in class program through rapid growth and expansion

Closely work with Kite Engineering / facilities leadership on all aspects of reporting, budgeting, long-range planning (assets), benchmarking and the calibration of excellence implementation

Oversee and review facility prManagograms and processes to ensure high quality of operations, equipment maintenance, and compliance with codes, Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs)

Lead a network to develop programs for reliability, efficiency, effectiveness and safety which may consist of some of the following :

Work Management program

Effective planning and scheduling

Materials management

Reliability of assets and services

Support corporate engineering capital projects and operational readiness

Reduce loss, and manage problematic assets via bad-actor management

Works with the corporate Maintenance Excellence team in the development of standards, training, and tools for application of reliability engineering throughout the network

Supports local sites with establish strategic plans, training, coaching and deployment of established standards

Engage with external engineering partners as necessary to deliver assets on-time and on-budget. Develop high quality integrated cross functional project / program plans, manage program activities, and control timelines

Work with Tech Ops Leaderships and Operation Team Lead to identify key risks, timeline and resource issues, and develop mitigation plans

Develop communications and presentations relating to program strategy, status, critical path activity timing, resources required, and related issues and / or risks, and communicate both internally and to partners as appropriate

Maintain, track, report and understand variances in the integrated program budget by working in close collaboration with functional contributors and finance

Participate in the planning and execution of regulatory activities, including IND filings

Maintain tools for internal and external communication about program goals and progress (program dashboards etc.)

Effectively manage team meetings by ensuring that objectives are clearly defined, capturing and disseminating meeting outcomes / information / action items, and following up on critical actions with teams

Work closely with external partners to organize team meetings, coordinate schedules and follow-up on action items


BS degree in engineering or related field or 4 years of additional experience

5+ years’ experience in maintenance excellence, reliability engineering or process engineering in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry

Financial acumen spanning reporting and reconciliation

Able to express ideas and present information effectively within teams, functions, and with external partners

Demonstrate active listening and constructive feedback within team, ability to facilitate problem solving, decision making, and issue resolution

Demonstrated analytical and technology skills, including proficiency in project planning tools, content management tools, and the Microsoft Office Suite

Strong program management skills including : communicating across the organization to align on shared goals and responsibilities, working with teams to clarify vision and direction, developing work plans to meet goals, managing teams to meet goals and deliverables, tracking progress toward plan, highlighting areas of risk and developing mitigation plans, identifying options and facilitating decisions to enable programs to move forward, ability to plan and facilitate effective, efficient meetings and ability to multi-

task while working within a fast paced and dynamic environment
