We are looking for a Last Mile Logistics Manager to support the development and operation of last mile service in Italy. The role will be responsible for ensuring that capacity and quality of services is matching last mile business demands and will play a vital role in advancing Amazon’s unique culture.

Key functions for the role include :

  • Work closely with delivery stations and operations in Italy to ensure that required resources and capacity meet business demands
  • Develop demand forecasts for last mile resources in cooperation with in-country operations and finance
  • Monitor resources on a daily basis and support stations to resolve shortfalls effectively
  • Manage the performance of 3rd parties and ensure that performance meets agreed service standards
  • Improve driver's experience and engagement
  • Support the development of new value added services
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience in the logistics industry
  • Experience in working with and managing 3rd parties and a history of developing strong, value-add partnerships
  • Experience influencing and interacting with cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical skills combined with excellent communications skills and a high bar for accuracy and detail.
  • Ability to effectively work with a variety of organizations, management levels, cultures, and personalities
  • Ability to handle and prioritize when presented with a high volume of engagements
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) in English and Italian
  • Willingness to travel
  • Confident and skilled in using Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Master's Degree
  • Experience of new business development, vendor management, account management
  • Experience in contract negotiation is a plus
  • Background in mobility services
