As Kids RTW Production Technician, your activities will be related to support the production planning and controlling, production orders management and back office activities.
You will be asked to contribute to solve every situation in the best way working with the Kids Team and in collaboration with other departments.
The Kids RTW Production Technician will be in contact with the Product Development, Test Houses, Product Compliance, External laboratories and suppliers, Logistic, Customer Service and Finance Departments.
Key responsabilities :
Reporting to the Production Planning and Controlling manager and assist with day to day activities;
Support the Production Planning and Controlling manager in setting up the seasonal testing plan by deciding what tests are to execute for each style;
Read sales reports and create production orders for the required quantities and sizes per fabric and color;
Support the Production Planning and Controlling manager in setting up the delivery plan with each supplier and track the ETA (estimate time of arrival) of fabrics and trims.
Require weekly updates on the delivery plan and organize shipments;
Follow up on technical queries about labelling, grading, garment construction, print techniques, chemical and physical standards, etc.;
Available to travel to our offices in Italy and to the warehouse to inspect the goods;
Keep excel files up to date and keep track of all styles testing process. Approve the styles ready for production and be in daily contact with the suppliers for updates on the critical path;
Able to read and evaluate test reports. This means you must understand chemical / physical parameters and safety requirements, have a good knowledge on labelling and understand how a composition label is made;
Manage suppliers and take action on their requests, give prompt support on production and quality queries;
Data entry activity : you will need to store, register and forward documents such as invoices, packing list, custom certificates, etc.;
Register inbound and outbound samples / production and advise the warehouse about all missing and extra PO quantities;
After sale activity and a prompt client support on faulty items is required;
Able to understand costings and to pick the best path with minimum impact on the budget.
Skills required :
High school diploma as Perito Tessile or equivalent studies;
Previous experience of 1 / 2 years in a similar role is preferable;
Language skills : Italian and English (written and spoken). You will have to be able to understand conversations with native speakers and suppliers in Europe and Asia (through Skype calls and in person);
Hands-on problem solver and team player with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others;
Good communication, technical background, proactive and problem solver with a can-do attitude;
Working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel .i.e. filters, pivot, lookup and similar functions are a must).
