He / She is responsible of the activities pertainingto the discipline within a project, in compliance with the assigned budget, theproject schedule and the technical requirements, assuring as well costoptimization.
The Project Leader leads a group of specialists and / or engineersappointed to the project by the Head of Department and reports to the ProjectEngineering Manager for the peculiarities of the project and to the Head ofDepartment for the management of the resources and the quality of the work.
Key Activities &Responsibilities :
To prepare and discuss with the Project Team (PD / PMand PEM) and the Head of Department the execution strategy of the project(including the project schedule) and assure its application throughout theentire project life.
For specific topics involving high level of expertise,Project Leader is assisted by Group Leaders.
To cooperate and coordinate with the ProjectEngineering Manager and the other Project Leaders to create and maintain theproject procedures and ensure their application in conformity with generaldepartment guidelines and applicable standards;
To ensure the coordination of the activities of thediscipline regardless the location and distribution of the engineering centers,guaranteeing the consistency of the documents with the contract, the respect ofthe time schedule, the implementation of the contract requirements, thecompliance of the assigned budget (both cost and man-
hours) and the quality ofthe deliverables under the guidance of the Project Engineering Manager andcooperating with the other Project Lead Engineers;
To supervise and participate actively in thedrafting of the project technical specifications , requests for tenders,tabulations and technical follow- up of supplies;
To supervise and participate actively in thedevelopment of engineering electrical systems;
To interface with the Customer and Suppliers ofmaterials and services for all the technical aspects related to theirdiscipline;
To guarantee assistance to the constructionactivities during the construction and commissioning of the plant.
Personal Attributes :
Degree in electrical engineering or diploma inelectrical engineering;
Minimum 10 years of experience in electricalengineering in plant engineering companies in the petrochemical, oil & gas, power;
At least two years experience as a project leader;
Experience in construction and commissioning activitiesas electrical field supervisor;
Experience in coordinating international workinggroups distributed in different locations;
Fluent English speaker and writer;
Availability to travel for short and long period inItaly and abroad.
