To oversee, execute and run all aspects of the Maui Jim Distribution satellite office located in Verona Italy.
Essential Duties :
Hiring, orientation, and training of employees to department standards and procedures. Monitor training performance of employees to insure quality.
Monitor vacations, attendance, and performance issues. Motivate, develop and recognize staff for their accomplishments.
Provide team support and leadership by being the first line of contact for employee concerns and customer feedback.
Serve as a role model for performance and morale of the dept.
Manage and supervise the Distribution Center team. Conduct employee performance evaluations. Provide feedback to the employee in regard to strengths / accomplishments / improvements / problems and compliance with established KPI’s

Motivate and lead the DC team to provide outstanding customer service to our customers, co-workers, vendors and partners.
Look at ways to differentiate Maui Jim from the competition by providing service that WOWs.
Manage the sunglass repair process. Maintain efficient turnaround time and provide unique customer service. Follow Maui Jim standards.
Oversee the shipping and receiving functions of the Distribution Center. Manage the processing, preparation, and packaging all sunglass orders for shipment.
Ensure orders in by 2 pm go out the same day.
Monitor and analyze all credits and returns issued. Ensure credits and returns are performed in accordance with Maui Jim policy.
Monitor and review the accounts receivable aging report and work together with Accountant, Sales Executives and Sales Director to collect past due balances.
Develop partnership with accounts to foster strong working relationships.
Meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
Perform and communicate all monthly or quarterly reports / requirements to upper management in the region and the US. This is inclusive of the monthly operating report, bank reconciliation, VAT reporting, stock take results, and final audit report.
Continue to develop the education and learning of the Distribution Center staff. Cross-train and prepare team for future growth.
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Distribution Center to provide outstanding customer service to all customers and accounts, reviewing processes for operational efficiencies and cost reductions.
Provide coordination assistance to the US Accounting and Human Resource team regarding employee contracts / details, office lease, trade license, etc.)
Maintain all IT related items to ensure productive office at all times. (i.e. down network, errors in system, field staff inquiries, rollout new technology, etc.)
Stay abreast of logistics trends and requirements in the region. Develop carrier relationships, negotiate fees, and monitor performance by participating in periodic carrier reviews.
When needed, perform the responsibilities of the sales support rep, accounting manager, and / or warehouse representative.
Keep apprised of changes in the industry and in the region.
Perform other work-related tasks as requested or required.
