Main tasks

  • Identify new business opportunities, pursuing and capturing new channels
  • Understand the client needs and match them with our services to identify innovative opportunities to solve real problems
  • Pro-actively setting up and delivering high-impact business and tech presentations & closing business opportunities
  • Monitor trends in cutting edge technologies, connected products and service
  • Lead and support contract closing activities and capture lessons learned
  • Explore opportunities for alliances and partnerships to exploit new markets and opportunities
  • Work with sister companies across RINA Group to develop cross selling’ and mutual opportunities with clients
  • Track competitor activity and provide timely updates on competitor news and intelligence to the team
  • Prepare and submit timely and accurate monthly reports of business development activities delivered and planned
  • Desired skills and experience :

  • 3 / 5 years of experience within a fast-paced technology leader or research or consulting environment
  • M.Sc. in Industrial, Management, Electronic Engineering or equivalent
  • Tech enthusiast, with cross-functional experience working across teams like product, business development, sales, and marketing
  • A strong track record driving business within the Industry market, ideally within the ICT Consultancy field
  • A strong and current personal network within the Industry market would be of interest
  • Significant experience in writing, appraising requirements, business cases and proposals
  • Excellent knowledge of English and Italian, both written and spoken, are mandatory
  • The ideal Business Development Manager will be a highly motivated self-starter, goal focused and tenacious professional with the ability to establish fruitful working relationships with customers and colleagues through their communication and listening skills teamed with a proactive approach.

    The candidate will have the ability to present ideas successfully and will be armed with strong negotiation and persuasion skills.

    A flexible approach with the ability to adapt to changing business, home working and working under pression with multiple demands skills are required.
