Responsibilities

  • Assess company spent (what is bought, where, at whatprices?) to identify areas of opportunity
  • Estimate potential savings , outliningease of capture and outline sourcingplan .
  • Develop category strategies to fit current and futurerequirements
  • Defineand enforce the framework and process for proactive procurement policies , ensuring all compliance and good code ofethics are followed
  • Partnerwith Engineering and other technical departments to execute and ensure the integrity andclarity of requirements and that all expectations are communicatedeffectively and support all matters related to the procurement function(Equipment, Materials, Delivery, Service provider and Commercial term)

  • Responsibleto embed discipline and credibility in the financialgovernance process for the Capex andMRO categories
  • Leadthe development and execution of the procurementstrategy for the Capex, Third Party and MRO categories ; interface withGlobal Procurement counterparts to identify opportunities in the Capex and MROcategories and develop strategies that maximize value
  • Developand lead key negotiations of long-term agreements with strategic suppliers toensure that they meet business needs, adhere to corporate standards andfinancially deliver against our value commitments
  • Accountableto provide strategic sourcing leadership to stakeholders for all expenditures in the Capex & MRO categories Implementa structured approach for gathering supplier input in the product developmentstage Manage supplier selection, idea gathering and idea evaluation process ona project by project basis
  • Liaisewith the Technology department structurally involve suppliers in new product development and innovationfrom the idea generation stage (build a project pipeline for suppliercollaboration)
  • Gatherand share market intelligence in theco-pack supply market to facilitate in-sourcing vs. out-sourcing decisions
  • Align with Finance & GlobalProcurement counterparts on a consistent methodologyto track & report value delivery
  • Coach the plant Capex / MRO sourcingteams to implementa structure, fact-based and consistent strategic sourcing approach
  • Ensure adherence to category strategies, guidelines andpolicies, local engagement .
  • Requirements :

  • Fluency in English is a prerequisite
  • University degree in a quantitativediscipline
  • 5+years’ experience of growing responsibilities in technicalprocurement, category and project management, ideally in a FMCG contractmanufacturing environment
  • Strong project and change management capabilities
  • Procurement best practice across diverse spend categories
  • Experience in working on a project basis , leading and implementing a broad range of purchasing projects
  • Successful track record of leading complex negotiations and delivery in afast-paced procurement function
  • Previous expertise in VA / VE (Value Analysis / Value Engineering ) is adesirable
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to deliver outstanding work to tight deadlines and manage a diverse workload
  • Capable both as networker and team developer
  • Available to travel
