The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be included in the engineering team of Padua (Mestrino) and will have the task of independently developing mechanical projects assigned to order in the design of integrated packaging lines.
Must interface with the Engineering, Production, Service, Parts, Sales department.
Have in-depth knowledge of the principles of mechanical design, choice of materials, surface finishes, welding, pneumatics, power transmission systems including gears, toothed wheels, gearboxes, and toothed belts.
Responsibilities include reviewing customer specifications, producing drafts, designing machinery, performing machine tests, drafting final documentation, including manuals.
The Senior Mechanical Engineer must also contribute to the continuous improvement of projects for the research and development of new designs and options, as well as dealing with the implementation and maintenance of company standards.
Experience with Solid Works, Microsoft Office and next generation management software is required.
Experience in CAD / CAM design, preferably in the flexible packaging sector, and knowledge of any PDM system are preferred.
A good knowledge of spoken and written English is required.
Degree in mechanical engineering or college level (perito meccanico) in mechanics.
Independence in setting goals and designing and drawing new mechanical design projects
Minimum 3 / 5 years experience in mechanical design.
Good knowledge of assembly and production processes.
Ability to develop plant layouts.
Knowledge of industrial automation (pneumatics, engine sizing, etc.).
Solidworks knowledge or 3D modelling software.
Knowledge of PDM systems..
Knowledge of management software (ERP) of the latest generation.
Good knowledge of spoken and written English.
Experience in relating to production departments.
Good interpersonal and human skills.
Good team work skills.
Knowledge of industrial automation (pneumatics, motor seizing, etc.).
Good knowledge of assembly process and relationships with production department.
Layout development skill.
