In our Electrification Business, for Distribution Solutions Business Line, located in Dalmine, we are looking for R&D Firmware Engineer, who will work on embedded firmware for embedded control system used in the apparatus platform for magnetic & servo driven MV circuit breakers.
Contribute in suggesting effective technical solutions applications, equipment and methods to develop market or manufacture new products or new software to respond cost effectively to customer requirements and specially in the definition of FW specification and developing real-time control routines and additional non-real-time logics for 32bit microcontrollers
Perform assigned engineering tasks as a member of a team in R&D, Software, Design or Operation
Assist in providing consulting services to business operations and customers
Be involved in all the steps of the R&D product development from technical definition to the testing gate at both level electronic device and MV apparatus
Support to all the steps of the HW / FW integration in the final product, control tuning and optimization based on the required Circuit Breaker performances, mechatronics optimizations, industrialization, manufacturing is part of your duties.
A Master degree in Electronic Engineer (or similar)
3-5 years of professional experience in FW embedded design and debug (CAN-bus, RS-485, Ethernet)
Very good knowledge of control design fundamentals for electromagnetic actuators and brushless / reluctance motors, Matlab / Simulink tools and simulations, SW Tool development
Experience with real-time operating systems, development of unit tests for code quality validation, HW / FW functional testing with automatic tests system and test of the electronic device in the final application
Excellent knowledge of English, both written and spoken
Ability to work in a multitask / multisource team, sharing ideas, recommendations and improvements for control platform
Strategically sharp, full of initiative, mature and fueled with the desire to deliver
Excellent communication skills and good at motivating others.
