As a Project Engineering Manager you will lead, manage and control all engineering-related activities in the project to deliver on requirements, budget and schedule.
You will ensure that lessons learned and best practices are applied on projects and transferred to new projects. You will be the main Engineering Interface with the customer.
A big part of your role is to define the implementation of the project jointly with the PM and the Site Manager. You will manage all engineering activities for designated projects (Signalling and / or Wayside) and the engineering labour budgets;
define and tracks engineering deliverables; Identify and captures input requirements from technical meetings with customer and internal stakeholders and distribute to system engineering;
Technically support ITC activities.
To lead all aspects of design, implementation, testing and commissioning required to deliver the scope of the engineering project to satisfy customer requirements while adhering to project budgets and schedules.
Establish and maintain interfaces with other Engineering departments & with relevant functions (Project Management, Procurement, Operations, Sales, Bids).
Monitor, control and report monthly all product related financial aspects of the project consistent with the contract requirements and established project management procedures to attain established goals.
Continuous optimization of Project Engineering processes / tools / behaviors by considering business requirements, customer needs, technical innovations, and new market conditions.
Ensuring that relevant skills are made available by the Engineering Function in order to fulfill project requirements
Qualifications & Functional Knowledge
Minimum 5 years of experience postgraduate
Minimum 2 years of leadership experience
Interdisciplinary technical background (traditional railway signalling, ERTMS, SCADA, power supply, data networks, civil works, etc.).
Project Management experience and / or skills
Interest to extend technical skills.
Signalling background and knowledge on signalling systems preferred
Good knowledge of Italian, French and English
