This position is centered around the management of the Hob Extractors product category for the Franke Home Solutions division on a global scale .
It is also focused in exploiting and developing new products related to categories near hob extractors and hoods in general and in coordinating innovation activities and platform project for the whole hoods category.
In this sense, the focus is primarily Europe (including Russia and Turkey) and North America. You will be joining the Global Category Management organization and you will report to the head of the Hood category.
In this role, you will have full autonomy of the category but under the guidance of the category head, which in turn reports to the Vice President Category Management .
You will count on the support of a broad country cluster product management organization in terms of a dedicated hoods product manager for each of the clusters.
The roles and responsibilities are as follows :
The Global Category teams (in which this role is included) focus in general on defining the global standard product portfolio, driving the product lifecycle management and the innovation roadmap
The Cluster Category teams focus on implementing the central strategy, driving the generation of market insights (customer needs, competitive environment, etc.
and distributing product knowledge & capabilities (i.e. trainings) in the respective cluster markets
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
Develop and execute the Category Strategy / Roadmap which captures all market and product needs coming from cluster organization & market insights for hob extractors and new products
Manage product portfolio (i.e. introduction, product lifecycle & margin management), including marketing story development, training support and price recommendations
Investigate new business / product family opportunities, building and implementing a full business development strategy
Coordinate Innovation process, driving R&D scouting activities and focusing on consumer needs
Serve as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing as the product(s) move to production and distribution
Main Requirements and Competencies :
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Engineering (Master’s degree preferred)
5+ years of strong product management experience in multinational companies
Work experience in the appliance industry and understanding of the hoods product category in relations to trends, market players and technical aspects on a global scale are a plus
Very strong project management skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Problem solving, can-do attitude, analytical skills and focus on innovation and change
Attitude to work in team integrating and coordinating the activities of other resources
Strong drive for results, attention to costs and ability to work under strict deadlines
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment
Fluent English and Italian (spoken & written). Other languages are a plus, especially German
Proficient in all MS Office Applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint
Willing to travel internationally >
30% (according to Covid travel regulations in the respective countries)
