The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for all the sales activities for both off-trade and on-trade in the assigned area which is
Rome and province
regional retailers, wholesalers and indirect Outlet on-trade. He / she will be accountable for selling activities (annual agreements negotiation, promotional plans implementation, order taking, cash collection, store check) and for back-office activities (order entry, performances and budget monitoring, monthly sales forecast).
Business Development : Evaluate and optimize wholesale panel in the assigned area. Scout new outlets to be involved through wholesale channel.
Run field visits to off-trade to negotiate local agreement, promotion plan and assortment; wholesale and indirect customers to monitor performance, objectives achievement and support the sell-out : identify corrective actions based on canvass terms and customer investments;
perform outlets monitoring with specific focus on distribution, visibility and activation; support the implementation of POP material / extra visibility, brand activations and bartender community experiences.
Customer Business Plan : Define annual business plans to establish shared objectives and develop business through distribution, promotions, agreement with indirect Outlet on-trade and visibility actions.
On-Trade contracts : Draw up and monitor the application of tripartite contracts between Pernod Ricard Italia, wholesalers and outlets.
Pricing : Implement the pricing strategy by channel and by customer, respecting company guidelines and monitor the RSP evolution at POS level.
Competitors : Map key competitors’ activities and provide to the Trade Marketing team all the information gathered on new product launches, pricing and promotions to ensure a complete analysis of the market.
Back-office : Sales forecast, order management and credit collection.
Requirements & Skills
Degree in Economics, Marketing or Business Management;
4+ years experience in sales or trade marketing roles.
Key competences and skills
Strong commercial and analytical skills;
Proven ability to understand customers' needs, respond to requests and manage negotiations;
Strong ability to achieve results and work under pressure;
Good knowledge of P&L management;
Good attitude to establish and develop trusting and impactful relationships with stakeholders;
Fluent in both Italian and English;
Previous experience in beverage industry will be considered as a plus.
