Collaboration in ensuring the IT services required for the company's goals (through local systems, Thermo Fisher shared systems and global systems) in the field of commercial, logistics and chemical / pharma -technical systems in compliance with cGMP requirements and in consideration of economic efficiency, safety, health, environment, quality, security and time.

position context : external


  • ongoing contact in the Business Group PSG, as well as in group-wide contact within the IT organization (CIS, ETO, PSG)
  • case-by-case contact with various manufacturers and service providers for software evaluation, market observation or problem escalation
  • case by case reference contacts to companies in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry
  • internal :

  • ongoing contact with system owners and process owners
  • ongoing in in project teams with functional representatives of business areas

    Key areas of accountability / responsibility

    Providing user support & service

  • support users in efficient use of O365 and other desktop solutions
  • installation and support of devices (PCs, NBs, network )
  • support for new hires
  • support phones
  • planning

  • Analysis of comprehensive organizational processes and the use of computer systems with focus on efficient use.
  • Planning of quality assurance measures for error minimization, reliability for systems in use.
  • Support in the analysis and definition of functional enhancements of computer systems.
  • Perform budgeting and cost estimates as a contribution to the overall computer budgeting and as
  • base for project approval.

  • scheduling and resource planning in IT projects
  • Implementation (running and projects)

  • Support the ongoing tasks of CIS Employee Experience Services.
  • Proactive design of measures to improve the business processes, based on the "monitoring" of systems and applications.
  • Analysis, design and if necessary, implementation of functional enhancements in the managed systems incl. Interfaces under consideration of change process.
  • Tracking of computer costs and investment projects.
  • Control of external resources and acceptance of services provided by external agents.
  • Documentation of processes, information flows, and system documentation with the appropriate methods and tools, including preparation of procedural instructions in dealing with the systems and applications according to valid quality standards.
  • Cooperation in the maintenance of the infrastructure (network, data center, workstations, local applications), by commissioning, monitoring and guidance of service partners.

  • Ensuring the active required information to the supervisor and the affected
  • employees of the company for their task management and motivation and ensuring the

    integration, as well as ensuring the necessary confidentiality and security of information.
