The Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) AG is a joint venture company established with the purpose of planning, developing and building the TAP natural gas pipeline.
TAP’s shareholding is comprised of BP (20%), SNAM (20%), SOCAR (20%), Fluxys (19%), Enagás (16%) and Axpo (5%).
This position shall ultimately facilitate the commercial delivery of gas through the safe and effective management of all operating business functions for the TAP gas transportation Assets & Facilities located within Italy.
The position requires multifaceted roles and responsibilities as part of the Operations Team in implementing Operations Assurance and Readiness initiatives during the engineering, construction and commissioning phases of the TAP Project, following which the roles and responsibilities of the substantive position for the operating phase will be assumed.
The position has a key role in the overall TAP system operations accountable for delivering daily gas transportation transactions, direct control of receiving terminal operations and Supervisory Control Centre in Italy as well as supervisory oversight on all gas transportation assets in Italy, the Adriatic Sea, Albania and Greece.
The position is located in Lecce, Italy and during the pipeline engineering, construction and commissioning project phases shall be a contributor in the development, review and implementation of the controlling work processes and documentation within the various TAP O&M management systems.
Fundamental to the success of the O&M function in Italy requires the incumbent to take the lead in the delivery of TAP Field Services Strategy and provide the O&M focal point for relationship management as well as technical and contractual support with selected Field Services providers in Italy.
The position shall take the lead in ensuring the key functions required of the TAP O&M Italian department are recruited, trained and ready for deployment to support facilities mechanical completion and commissioning activities and to set the stage for their assumptions of duties during the Operations Phase.
Additionally, the position shall take a leading role in the TAP team mandated to deliver Host County License to Operate, providing the necessary advice to LT, while coordinating delivery of the LtO certification.
During the Operations phase, the position is accountable for compliance with all regulatory and other committed requirements to fulfil TAP’s obligations under the LtO.
Post facility handover and acceptance the position shall be responsible for the safe and sustainable operation of the assets within Italy through delivery of TAP maintenance and inspection programs.
The position shall be responsible for the development and control of Italian O&M OPEX budget and shall be the contract owner for O&M contract types to be implemented specifically within Italy.
The position shall facilitate the implementation of TAP Training & Competence Assurance system for the TAP O&M Italian department and be accountable for carrying out performance assessment processes and implementing competence improvement measures.
Main Responsibilities and Tasks
HSE Leadership & HSEMS compliance
Responsible for the safe and effective management of all TAP gas transportation assets located within Italy (PRT-metering stations, block valve stations, offshore and onshore pipelines).
Responsible for implementation and performance of AIRMS
Responsible for facilitating delivery of all TAP O&M activities as per annual maintenance and inspection plans.
Responsible for CAPEX and OPEX budget proposals and expenditure.
TAP focal point for the coordination and management of all issues related to the review and implementation of the TAP Field Services Strategy.
Responsible for timely and effective recruitment and mobilisation of TAP O&M resources within Italy to deliver O&M performance metrics.
Accommodates first contact interfaces with Italian local communities during operation phase.
Ensures TAP O&M environmental targets are set and subsequently achieved within Italy.
Support design, delivery and implementation of the TAP Integrated Safe System of Work (ISSoW) across TAP Host-Countries.
Compliance with Company technical and administrative procedures for fiscal metering and custody transfer.

Support the transition from Projects to Operations during commissioning and handover.
Preferred : Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Automation, or Control Engineering; MBA or other graduate studies will be an asset.

A combined 10-15 years’ experience in general O&M environment- Manufacturing, Power, E&P, Refining, Process or Chemical Industry
A minimum of 7 years’ experience in an O&M HPI environment including SCADA and DC
A minimum of 5 years O&M facilities management
Excellent personal and intercultural skills, international experience required
Applied project related experience representing Operations. (OAR- practices
Experience from international gas compression and pipeline projects an advantage
