As Indirect Procurement Buyer in Italy, you will play a pivotal role in channelling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients’ lives.
Procurement plays a major role in ensuring that AstraZeneca pays a fair price for goods and services to reinvest the savings into our pipeline and that our suppliers are committed to help us in delivering our projects on or ahead of time;

As Indirect Procurement Buyer you will develop the best buying strategies to ensure that the most appropriate goods and services are selected on the basis of price, quality, delivery times and services support.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Your responsibilities comprise the following aspects :
Being accountable for sourcing activities within a key area of spend in commercial categories
Sourcing good or services and leading the preparation of and solicit competitive bids, quotations and proposals with pertinent specifications, terms and conditions;
leading development of evaluation approach and assessments
Developing contracts and leading negotiation on agreements for the supply of both standard and be-spoke products and services with new and existing suppliers
Maintaining supplier relationships for the assigned categories and resolving supplier issues including escalated cases
Advising on development of sourcing approaches based on Category Strategy and overseeing the introduction of new and modified products and services with appropriate departments
Maintaining a cost reduction, cost avoidance, cost containment program and reporting it via the value database
Supporting in data collection, elaboration and analysis
Manage all activities and Account relationship according with Company Values, Code of Conduct, Guidelines / Internal procedures relating to people, finance, technology, security and SHE (Safety, Health and Environment) and local, national and regional legislation.
Bachelor / Master’s Degree preferably in Economics
Minimum 2-3 years of work experience within Procurement in Indirect Spend management
Proved ability to manage multiple projects / tasks effectively
Ability to work in team
Strong analytical and financial skills
Ability to build partnership with internal and external stakeholders
Excellent communications and influencing skills
Oral and written fluency in Italian and English
Willingness to work abroad in the future
