The hiring position regards the Global Product Management, Smart Power Division, under Electrification Business Area.
The selected candidate will be responsible of a new product line in the field of Energy and Power Management, also called Digital Unit product line, and will be accountable for its long term profitable growth by developing and managing the product line through all of its life cycle phases, according to market needs and Product Group strategy.
He / she will be responsible to start-up and develop a new global product offering for energy management, asset management and low voltage protection market according to the Global Product Group strategy.
Report to : Global Product Management Manager.

Understand and define market segmentation and related product positioning. Identify both potential gaps against competition and new market opportunity.
Analyze market trends, identify customer needs and set market requirements for future development.
Manage existing product series ABB Ekip UP under External Digital Unit portfolio. Boost market penetration according to the Global Product Group ambition.
Define future product and service offering for distinct applications, especially in energy management and asset management.
Define product customer value proposition per segment and channel, set and monitor the communication strategy to deliver clear product positioning.
Drive the annual business planning process and facilitates agreement between sales demand and supply. Monitor global sales target fulfilment and take actions as appropriate.
Work closely with market developers and sales team to sustain business growth for the product line.
Collaborate with extended internal teams (i.e. GPGs, Digital, Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, R&D, Supply Chain, and Logistics) to ensure customer satisfaction and business target.
Master’s degree in Electric, Mechanical or Management Engineering;
At least 5 years’ experience in energy management or asset management is highly preferred, in alternative 5 years’ experience in product management for external relay and network analyzer;
Attention to customers and stakeholders, result oriented, markets driven thinking, teamwork, systemic thinking, inclination to innovation;
Fluent in English, written and spoken;
Travelling up to 30% of the time.
