The Role

Non Life Reserving Office : Milan or Rome

You will have immediate exposure to real client assignments which will draw on your imagination and creativity as well as your ability to analyze data, draw conclusions and present results.

These experiences will help build your technical knowledge and overall industry expertise while you benefit from one of the industry’s most comprehensive actuarial training and development programs.

TASK : Excellence


  • Provide consultation and clarification on actuarial models and risk issues , and influence management towards courses of action that have a potentially sizeable impact on profitability and / or reserve adequacy
  • Work with ResQ and / or Igloo to develop projections of clients’ insurance business
  • Prepare first draft reports for review by the lead consultant on the client team(s)
  • Seek and participate in key learning and development opportunities / maintain steady progress through exams
  • People

  • Demonstrate natural ease and effectiveness when dealing with clients / colleagues at all levels
  • Clients

  • Experienced Associates may begin to serve as the project manager and main liaison to the consultant which includes :
  • Creating project plans
  • Monitoring progress to deadlines and budget
  • Increase efficiency within client teams by identifying ways to improve processes
  • Financial

  • Contribute to sales and marketing efforts by drafting proposals and responding to RFPs
  • The Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree required
  • Actuarial Loss Reserving and Capital
  • VBA, C++, R, SAS (Phyton nice to have)
  • Ability to provide advices and action trought actuarial / mathematician model results
  • Comprehensive knowledge of insurance policy, coverage, underwriting, sales & pricing processes
  • Knowledge of ResQ preferably or other reserving models
  • Knowledge IGLOO preferably or other capital models
  • Knowledge of Solvency II and IFRS17
  • Natural ease and effectiveness when dealing with clients / colleagues at all levels
  • Ability to work both independently and on client teams and enjoy a fast-paced environment
  • Self starter; interest in continually challenging oneself and willingness to step outside of one’s comfort zone
  • Ability to think beyond the task at hand and understand how one’s work fits into the broader landscape
  • Strong analytical and integrative skills including ability to draw conclusions and identify trends from data in a logical, systematic way
