FRAG are looking for an Automation Engineer who supervise the A&C engineering activities related for the assigned projects, and develop technical alternative solutions guaranteeing high quality standards and profitability increase. Responsibilities :
Review of Automation design for the various projects.
Assist the Chief Engineers in ensuring that the Automation engineering activities are developed in respect of Contract, Quality, Safety and Environment requirements, within the specific Time Schedule and Cost.
Support Chief Engineers in interacting with Clients or Suppliers
Support Instrumentation Discipline Manager in preparing design methodologies, standard procedures, standard specifications & drawings in order to achieve high-
level quality and low costs.
Check or approve the main deliverables relevant to Automation issued by Instrumentation discipline : design standards, technical specifications, data sheets, material requisitions and technical bid evaluations
Assist the Chief Instrumentation Engineers of the various project in reviewing Vendor documentation relevant to Automation
Define technical solutions for complex problems.
Propose optimization / changes in order to minimize quantity / costs or optimize project schedule.
Support Chief Engineers in reviewing Tender documentation and prepare clarification requests during bid phase.
Provide support and guidance to less experienced colleagues
Promote transfer of knowledge through mentoring and training
Prepare Automation training programs (if necessary)
Participate to most critical FAT
Develop I&C Typical interface and Automation Typical modules
Supervise or develop C&A narrative descriptions
Supervise or develop C&A Functional Logic Diagrams (FLD) (in formal language)
Supervise or develop C&E Matrix for ESD & FGS systems
Bachelor / Master Degree in Electronic or Telecommunications Engineering
Almost 10 years of experience in Automation Engineering in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / Energy EPC projects
I&C Engineering background
Deep Knowledge of ICSS (DCS / ESD / FGS) systems
Deep Knowledge of Automation & Control applications, communication protocols, etc.
Knowledge of FIELD BUS systems design
Knowledge of HAZOP / SIL / ALARP Design review meeting methodology
Knowledge of SCADA systems (fiber base / radio / satellite)
Knowledge of instrument installation and hook-up
Knowledge of I&C field engineering
Knowledge of main I&C international codes, standards and best engineering practices (ISA, IEC, IEEE, ATEX, NFPA; API; ISO; SAMA etc.)
Fluent knowledge of English language
