Ubisoft Milan is looking for a Quest Designer who, closely collaborating with the Design Team and the Creative Director, will be in charge of building exciting, challenging gameplay spaces that help tell powerful stories.
Building the story critical gameplay of the main quest, he / she will work with the narrative team to design and develop the side quests that bring life to the worlds of our games.
In particular, the responsibilities are :
Design and implement quests and narrative contents;
Design, build, script and polish ideas from concept through final implementation, using provided tools;
Demonstrate and prove his / her designs by concrete examples and prototypes;
Design and document features in collaboration with other team members;
Cooperate with Tech Directors for the development and maintenance of tools;
Cooperate with the entire Design Team and other departments to maximize use of existing game systems, and support the needs of fellow developers;
Constantly challenge quality;
Pro-actively seek issues in the game and propose ideas to solve them.
At least 3 years of experience in video game industry, in a position of Game Designer or equivalent, with good knowledge of video games;
Experience as Level designer or Quest Designer or Narrative Designer is a plus;
Good knowledge of visual scripting;
Experience in current and next-gen consoles;
Narrative skills are a strong plus;
Experience in Systemic Game Experience is a strong plus.
